Alba Franquesa

Clinical psychologist specialist (No. 13980), PhD, and Master’s in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Ever since I started my degree in psychology, I haven’t been able to shake an insatiable curiosity that has driven everything I’ve done. Upon graduating, I completed my specialization, which allowed me to learn psychopathology, begin my clinical work, and come into direct contact with the diverse realities of mental health. Since then, I have never stopped treating patients, and it is from them that I have learned the most.

Constantly asking myself questions has led me to train in various psychotherapeutic approaches: I completed a Master’s in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, have training in systemic therapy, a Master’s in group analysis, training in Gestalt, and I love exploring what each new approach has to offer.
I have also been drawn to research, completing a PhD on the psychological variables underlying therapeutic processes.

I am deeply interested in basic psychology—specifically, how psychological processes and nervous system functions work. Currently, contextual therapies and EMDR (Level II training) are my framework models.

In parallel with my academic studies, psychedelics found their way into my life. They have influenced my perspective, helped me connect with my surroundings and myself, and guided me in deeply integrating everything I have learned.
