Susan McBride

Susan McBride, RN, MTS, began as an emergency room nurse dealing with physical and emotional crises.  Obtaining B.A. in Psychology led to work at a children’s mental health agency helping parents deal with crisis situations with their children.  An interest in spirituality led to completing a Masters in Theological Studies, then work in private practice using Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Gestalt therapy, EMDR, and Imago Relationship therapy.

Susan’s interest in non-ordinary states began with attending Holotropic Breathwork, eventually certifying as a facilitator. With her psychiatrist partner, Mark Cornfield, she began offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2018 to individuals and couples groups. Since 2019 they facilitate ‘Ketamine Learning Experiences’ for psychotherapists and physicians as 5 day experiential retreats. Their paper describing ketamine assisted group couples therapy appeared in the Journal of Psychedelic Studies in 2024.
